We offer 3 different styles of worship, and each has a core group of people who relate best to a particular style. We also have frequent visitors attracted to our services for the specific elements they offer.
Our TRADITIONAL SERVICE gathers at 8:15a and inludes Acolytes, hymns, piano each week, and choir twice each month. Communion is served each first Sunday. We offer both hymnals and words on screen for singing. People of all ages and backgrounds participate, and dress ranges from casual to dresses and suits. Our Pastor wears a traditional robe during this worship. Service ends at 9:10.
Our CONTEMPORARY service begins at 9:30a and includes a full music team with drums, electric guitar and bass and several vocalists. Music is upbeat and plentiful, often incorporating special selections. Video and other media are a part of worship. Attendance is highest at 9:30, and includes people of all ages. Nursery for ages 2 and under, Kids Own Worship for age 3-Grade 4, Church Plus for grades 5-8 and Confirmation for grades 9 & 10 are all offered and open to newcomers. Communion is served once each month on first Sundays. Pastor Paul wears a casual suit for this service, and participants dress in everything from very casual to casually nice. Service ends at 10:35.
Our CONTEMPLATIVE service meets at 11:00a and is unique for its built-in times of reflection and its quiet, candlelight atmosphere. The music is modern and varied. The ending has no definite dismissal but allows persons to respond however they choose at the close of the message. Options for response include Communion served every week, prayers at the altar or with one of our prayer leaders, or just sitting quietly and listening to soft music. People may leave whenever they are ready, and some do while others remain a little longer. Pastor Paul wears casual pants and shirt, and attenders wear very casual to casual dress clothes. Nursery for ages 2 and under & Kids Own Worship for age 3-Grade 4 is offered.
