Youth Director Job Description

Lakeville Campus   –   August 2017

General Responsibilities:

  1. Visionary leadership of youth program.
  2. Primary leadership for mentoring, training, supporting, and recruiting leaders.
  3. Primary leadership of Youth Leadership team that coordinates fellowship events, retreats, fundraisers, and supports small group leaders.
  4. Oversee youth music and drama in coordination with Worship work area.
  5. Oversee youth communication including letters to parents, monthly articles for website and announcements in bulletin.
  6. Responsible for starting new small groups within the youth program and releasing leadership to sustain ministry.
  7. Responsible for youth budget work area.
  8. Work with parents of youth to create a family-youth ministry.

 

Meeting Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in Sunday morning worship (Weekly).
  2. Attend and participate in Middle School and Senior High Groups (Weekly).
  3. Organize/Oversee monthly meetings with Youth Leadership Team.
  4. Attend Summer Camps, Vacation Bible School other retreats as needed.  
  5. Meet with Lead Pastor and/or other staff members weekly.
  6. Attend a small group.
